These terms are between you and Alfie Lucas Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), trading as CompKit / KrisCreates. By using this website or the CompKit Game Engine plugin, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

This website is provided for informational and marketing purposes only. It describes the CompKit Game Engine plugin and its features. Content is provided “as is” and may change without notice. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but do not warrant that it is complete or error-free.

4. No Ecommerce Checkout on This Website

This website does not sell anything directly. There is no shopping cart, checkout, payment processing, or licence purchase form here. Any references to upgrading, premium games or licences relate to actions taken inside the plugin admin, not on this site.

5. Plugin Usage

The free CompKit Game Engine plugin and any premium modules are licenced, not sold, to you for use on the WordPress site(s) permitted by your licence. You agree to use the plugin in compliance with applicable laws and with the terms of WordPress, WooCommerce and Giveaway for WooCommerce by Flintop.

6. Licence Purchasing Through Plugin Admin

Premium game licences are purchased and managed inside the plugin admin area. Purchases made there are subject to the licencing, billing and refund terms presented at the point of purchase within the plugin. Those terms govern payment, renewals and entitlement.

7. Compatibility Requirements

CompKit requires WordPress 6.0+, WooCommerce, Giveaway for WooCommerce by Flintop, PHP 7.4+, and Instant Win and Prize Groups enabled. You are responsible for maintaining a compatible environment. We are not responsible for issues arising from unsupported configurations, conflicting plugins, or custom code.

8. External Service Notice

Premium modules contact the KrisCreates licence server at kriscreates.co.uk to validate licence keys and load game assets, using only your licence key and site domain. No personally identifiable customer information is transmitted. See our Privacy Policy for details. Availability of this external service is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse this website or the plugin, including by attempting to circumvent licence validation, reverse engineer the software except as permitted by law or by the software licence, or use the plugin to operate competitions that breach applicable gambling, lottery, promotion or consumer-protection laws in your jurisdiction.

10. Software Licence (GPL)

The PHP source code of CompKit Game Engine is distributed under the GNU General Public Licence, version 2 or later. Your rights in that code — including the rights to use, modify and redistribute it — are those granted by the GPL, and nothing in these terms is intended to remove or restrict them.

What a paid licence buys is not the code itself but your entitlement to automatic updates, licence-key activation of premium modules, and support for the sites covered by that licence. Those entitlements are contractual and are tied to your active licence.

Assets that are not covered by the GPL — including the CompKit name and logo, and the game artwork, images and audio shipped with premium modules — remain our property and are licenced to you for use within your own sites only. They may not be redistributed or resold separately.

11. Refunds & Cancellation

Premium licences are sold inside the plugin admin, and the refund terms presented to you at the point of purchase are the ones that apply to your order. Our standard position is a 30-day refund window from the date of purchase for a first-time licence purchase.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a statutory right to cancel a distance purchase of digital content within 14 days. Where you ask us to give you immediate access to a premium module and acknowledge that you lose the right to cancel by doing so, that statutory right may end once access is granted — but our 30-day policy above continues to apply regardless, and nothing here removes rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

12. Intellectual Property

The CompKit name, logo, game artwork and website content are owned by us or our licencors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Rights in the plugin source code are governed by section 10 above.

13. Support Limitations

Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis through the channels listed on our support page. We do not guarantee response times, resolution of every issue, or compatibility with all themes, plugins or custom code. Support may be limited or prioritised for active premium licence holders.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the website and plugin are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the website or plugin. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant premium licence in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

16. Third-Party Products

WooCommerce is a trademark of its respective owner. Giveaway for WooCommerce is a product of Flintop. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WooCommerce, Automattic or Flintop. Your use of those products is governed by their own terms.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or plugin after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
